The LogoThe logo shows a stylised fish jumping out of the water representing the sporting nature of fishing. The indigo colour represents the water element that marine and freshwater creatures thrive in and the green colour of the fish represents the conservation of our sporting resource. |
HistoryThe SFAS was officially registered with the Registry of Societies on 10th June 1996. A group of anglers who had been fishing mates since the mid seventies sat over coffee and expounded on the need for a formal organisation that would be a voice for anglers in Singapore. After many months of deliberation, the constitution was finally agreed upon and a formal application was made with the Registry of Societies. A copy of the constitution is kept at the association's premises and is available for inspection by its members. |
