CDANS (Civil Defence Association for National Servicemen) Sport Fishing Talk

The SFAS gave a talk on Sport Fishing at CDANS Country Club on 13th March 1999, from 2:00 pm - 5.00 pm.

The various methods and tackle employed in Sport Fishing were discussed. The audience was treated to a fly tying demonstration and also had a "hands-on" to fly and lure casting in their multipurpose hall. . Our president, Mr Chin Chi Khiong, giving the opening address. There were about 30 attendees to the talk. Mostly were men, but it was interesting to see women and children A simple fly-yting station was set up by Mr Peter Koh, a guest of SFAS. He also conducted the fly tying demo to the amusement of the attendees who asked if those contraptions actually caught fish.     Here he is hard at work. Peter is tying a typical saltwater fly that represents the numerous baitfish found in local waters.
