Lure Fishing Term & Regulations

SAFETY ASPECT
All participants are to wear their protective eyewear on at all times. Fishing Caps or Hats are strongly encouraged too.
 
SPORTMANSHIP
All fish must be caught in a sporting manner. Only artificial Lures & Flies can be used.
No rig or lure is to have more than 02 hooks or trebles.
No prepared or live organic bait may be used.
Any form of barley is not allowed.
Any form of applicable attractant is not allowed.
 
TACKLE REQUIREMENTS
Rod Length used for competition should not be more than 9ft.
No fly tackles are to be use.
Braided line & monofilament line with poundage not more than 15lb can be used.
No form of gaff is to be used to land the catch.
 
PERMITTED FISHING METHOD
Only landing nets is allowed for landing a catch.
No forms of nets of any participants are to be immersed into the water at all times.
Deliberate foul hooking of any fishes are not allowed.
No net casting is allowed.
No wading into the water is allowed.
All catches after the official measurement are to be Catch & Release.
 
RESTRICTED SPECIES.
Suckerfish will not be qualified for contesting of the prizes.
 
PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY
The competition judge according to quantity and timing of fish landed.
All prospective eligible catches for prize is to be measured with the "official" measuring tools.
If there is no catch result eligible for prizes in the event, we will have a lucky draw on the spot to give out all the prizes.
SFAS and its sponsor(s) for the event will not be hold responsible for any injury/losses raised due to the Event*.
The decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final in all matters in the Event*. Adjustments to the results/paybacks, if necessary, shall be made after the final decision.
