NTU Freshwater pond fishing basic

The SFAS conducted a talk for members of the NTU Anglers Club on 8th September 1998. This talk was in preparation for their Annual Pond Fishing Competition. The talk focussed on tackle selection, terminal tackle, preparation and presentation of baits, timing the strike ,etc.

The talk was presented by Eddie Chen, a member of SFAS. Eddie has been a keen pond angler since a tender age, having honed his skills on the many freshwater fishing ponds that dotted our island in the days gone by.

The NTU anglers also received a "practical" session on how to prepare the various baits used in freshwater pond fishing, namely, "khng", tapioca, chicken liver, amongst others.
