Tagging of fishes

The SFAS is embarked on a tag & release Program in the mid 1990's.The primary objective of this Program is to collect useful data about fish that have been caught and released into. Members are issued with tags bearing a serial number and the association's email address. If and when the fish is re-caught, it is hoped that the lucky angler would then snip off this tag and return it to the SFAS and email the fish data. From this Program, the SFAS hopes to gather valuable data in order to enhance and preserve our local fishing environment.
